“Why did I choose to complete a residency?” I decided to pursue a residency in order become a more well-rounded clinical pharmacist. Residency affords me the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of clinical settings, conduct meaningful research projects, and develop and present clinical presentations to healthcare professionals.

“Why Ohio State?” The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has everything I was looking for in a residency program, including a wide variety of ambulatory care clinics, experienced preceptors, and the opportunity to work in collaboration with other healthcare providers. I was specifically interested in gaining more experience managing complex patients with cardiovascular disease and its associated complications and the clinical experiences offered in the OSUWMC PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency align perfectly with my personal interests. Lastly, as a leading academic medical center in the country, OSUWMC is a pharmacy-friendly institution that supports the expansion of clinical pharmacy services to improve patient care which was very important to me when looking at PGY2 programs.
