Beth E. Prier is the Director overseeing the Pharmacy Informatics Team at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Her career goal is to evaluate, design, and implement technology to enhance pharmacists’ role in patient care. Her experience ranges from system configuration to project management and strategic planning. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Ohio Northern University and Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University. She completed a 2-year pharmacy practice residency with emphasis in pharmacy administration at Grant Medical Center.
In her local ASHP chapter, Prier served as President, board member, and Continuing Education Coordinator. Her national work with ASHP includes co-leading a work group with the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (SOPIT) Section Advisory Group on Professional Development. Beth presently serves as a Director-at-Large for SOPIT.
