“Why did I choose to complete a residency?”

I chose to do a residency because I wanted to be fully prepared to impact patient care by practicing at the top of my license. Residency was the best route to equip myself with the proper abilities and tools to do just that. Not only does a residency teach clinical knowledge and judgment, it develops other skills to impact patient care such as research and quality improvement projects. Ultimately, the profession of pharmacy is changing for the better, and a residency is helping me to be prepared for that change.

 “Why Ohio State?”

Being originally from Ohio, I naturally wanted to explore for my first year of residency. Ohio State has such a strong national presence and high quality of residency training that it was able to draw me back to Ohio for my second year of residency in cardiology.
